Mutation details: CRISPR-targeting of exon 3 inserted an Artificial Intron version 4 (AIv4) encoding a splice donor, essential intronic sequences flanked by loxP sites, and a splice acceptor site. Cre-mediated recombination removed the branch point and part of the polypyrimidine tract leaving a string of stop codons in all three frames.
