Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsExon 1 of the Mfsd6 gene contains the initiation codon and the H-2Kd binding motif. A neomycin resistance gene replaced an approximately 1.6-kb fragment containing a part (345 bp) of exon 1. RT-PCR analysis demonstrated the absence of mRNA expression in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and monocytes from homozygous mutant mice. Flow cytometry analysis revealed no binding of phycoerythrin-labeled H-2Kd pentamers to mutant PBMCs. (J:260694)
