Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsAn FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 3' loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 7. An additional loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 8. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette and left exons 7 and 8 floxed. Cre-mediated recombination removed exons 7 and 8. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in calvaria, tail, kidney and rib. (J:232567)
