Mutation detailsMice bearing this transgene conditionally express FLAG-tagged rat Tnnc1 (troponin C, cardiac/slow skeletal) cDNA carrying an I61Q (ATC->CAG) mutation under the control of the mouse cardiac-specific Myh6 (myosin, heavy polypeptide 6, cardiac muscle, alpha) promoter and the tetracycline responsive element (tetO). The transgene elicits ~45% incorporation of the mutant cardiac troponin C into the cardiac muscle sarcomere. (J:234490)
