Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(CAG-en/Hoxb5,-EGFP)#Vchl expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe transgene contains a CAG promoter, floxed chloramphenicol acetyl transferase gene, a fusion gene in which the Drosophila engrailed repressor domain replaces the transcription activation domain of mouse Hoxb5, an IRES sequence and an EGFP reporter gene. Cre-mediated recombination is required to achieve expression of the fusion gene. Two lines (A2 and E4) achieved germline transmission. The pound symbol (#) is used when no line is specified and/or lines are pooled. (J:136122)
