Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:223428
Parent Cell Line:  TT2 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (C57BL/6NCrlj x CBA/JNCrlj)F1
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsCre-mediated recombination removed the loxP flanked exon 3, causing a frameshift mutation at the splice junction site across exons 2 and 4. This results in disruption of 3 transmembrane motifs and an ATP-binding domain that is encoded by the downstream region of exon 3. Western blot analysis confirmed absence of protein in homozygotes.
