Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Modified isoform(s))
Mutation:    Nucleotide substitutions

Mutation detailsThree bases (GAGGTGAGA->GAAGTTCGA) in the alternative splicing donor site and two bases (AGTGAA->TCTGAA) in the splice acceptor site were modified via homologous recombination to prevent expression of the long transcript while retaining expression of the shorter transcript. A floxed neo cassette was also inserted in intron 3. Cre mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. This allele lacks expression of the deltaFosb isoform. (J:220449)
