Mutation details: An FRT-flanked PGK-neomycin cassette and loxP site were introduced to intron 3 and a loxP site was placed in intron 4 via homologous recombination. The neomycin cassette was excised from resultant mice through crosses with a Flp recombinase-expressing strain, leaving exon 4 flanked by loxP sites. Cre-mediated recombination removed exon 4. Immunoblot confirms the absence of protein.
