Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Endonuclease-mediated
Mutation:    Nucleotide substitutions

Mutation detailsTALEN-targeted homologous recombination using a synthetic oligodeoxynucleotide created a nucleotide substitution (G to T) that results in the amino acid substitution of valine for glycine at position 19 (G19V) and thereby created an additional SexAI restriction site. An identifying neutral nucleotide replacement in codon 19 (T to A) was used as a unique sequence identifier. Silent exchanges within the TALEN binding region removed an endogenous ApaLI restriction site. The G19V mutation replicated the amino acid substitution observed in Rab38cht. This allele was identified in a line established from founder mouse Rc6-4. (J:205086)
