Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Not Applicable)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA rabbit beta-globin polyadenylation cassette was inserted near the end of the exon 1A to truncate the transcript upon paternal transmission. A loxP flanked neomycin cre cassette was inserted immediately downstream as well. RT-PCR and Northern blot analysis confirmed that reduced amounts of a trucated mRNA were formed. (J:182868)
