Targeted Allele Detail
Summary
Symbol: Pcdhatm5.1Tyag
Name: protocadherin alpha cluster; targeted mutation 5.1, Takeshi Yagi
MGI ID: MGI:4356090
Synonyms: PcdhadeltaA
Gene: Pcdha  Location: unknown  Genetic Position: Chr18, Syntenic
Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:151979
Parent Cell Line:  TT2 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (C57BL/6NCrlj x CBA/JNCrlj)F1
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsAn in-frame termination codon was inserted just after the A and B common region in the constant region third exon along with a floxed neomycin resistance gene cassette. The neo cassette was removed by germ line cre-mediated recombination. Mice do not produce the B-type transcript but instead only a truncated transcript that lacks A-type cytoplasmic tail. (J:151979)
