Mutation details: Trapped gene association determined by genome coordinate overlap and strand.
The mouse YHB-130 embryonic stem cell line contains an in frame beta-geo (beta-galactosidase-neomycin-phosphotransferase II) insertion between exons 16 and 17, which leads to the expression of a fusion protein encompassing amino acid residues 1 to 548 (out of 1692 amino acids) fused to beta-geo. Northern blot and Western blot confirmed the presence of the larger transcript and the fusion protein.

All BayGenomics gene trap mutations were generated in either CGR8 or E14TG2a (129P2/OlaHsd) parental ES cell lines, with the majority in subline E14TG2a.4. The specific ES cell line in which each mutation was made is not specified.
