Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 3 and a loxP site and frt flanked PGK-neo cassette were inserted downstream of exon 3 via homologous recombination. Two mutant ES cell lines acquired the two loxP insertion in the targeted gene. One allele is derived from line 2E11 in which targeting occured as expected, Fat4tm1Hmc . Insertion of the targeting vector in the 5A7 line induced a recombination of the Fat4 locus, resulting in this null allele. (J:138247)
