Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, No functional change)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA floxed neomycin selection cassette was inserted in intron 1 and an additional loxP site was inserted 3' to exon 7. The resulting targeted ES cells were subjected to transient cre expression. The neomycin selection cassette was deleted leaving exons 2 through 7 flanked by loxP sites. In addition to this allele, transient expression provided recombinant ES cells in which exons 2-7 were also deleted. These cells were used to produce Lipetm1Rze. (J:74644)
