Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:111725
Parent Cell Line:  E14 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsExons 4-8 were replaced with a cassette containing IRES-TauLacZ and neomycin phosphotransferase (Neo) sequences. RT-PCR analysis on spinal cord RNA derived from homozygous mice showed that the encoded transcript was not present. Immunohistochemistry on spinal cord sections from homozygous mice demonstrated a loss of immunoreactivity. (J:111725)
