Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markers

J:48036

The authors were attempting to fine map regions of mouse chromosomes that exhibited allelic loss in gamma ray-induced-lymphomas in (BALB/c x MSM)F1 x MSM or (BALB/c c MSM)F1 x BALB/c backcross mice. A region of mouse Chromosome 16 in the vicinity of D16Mit122 (3.85 cM) showed a high frequency of allelic loss. This region is given the symbol Tlsr7. (The authors identified this region as TLSR16a). Allelic loss at Tlsr7 shows strong association with the Trp53tm1Sia allele. Scid (9.9 cM) is a potential candidate gene for Tlsr7 but allelic loss at Scid in lymphomas is less than allelic loss at Tlsr7. A previously identified radiation-induced apoptosis QTL named Rapop1 (22.2 cM) maps near Tlsr7.
