Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Upk2-HRAS*Q61L)5Xrw expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsThis transgene included a 3.6 kb fragment encoding the muring Upk2 gene promoter placed upstream of a 3.0 kb sequence encoding a mutant rabbit Hras gene (glutamine to leucine point mutation at codon 61). Mice carrying this allele produced only a single fragment, 8.2 kb in length, corresponding to a tail to tail orientation. Approximately 2 copies of the transgene were inserted into the genome.
