Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, No functional change)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 1 and a floxed neomycin cassette was placed downstream of exon 4. The neomycin gene was subsequently excised from properly targeted ES cells by transient transfection with a cre expressing plasmid. This resulted in all four exons being flanked by two loxP sites.
