Mutation details: Homologous recombination of a targeting vector containing GFP followed by IRES-neo resulted in the replacement of a genomic fragment extending from the endogenous stop codon in exon 4 through a portion of exon 5. The targed locus was designed to encode a 381 amino acid protein comprised of the endogenous gene followed by an 8 residue linker and GFP. The presence of a protein of the expected size was detected by Western blot analysis of homozygous mutant mice.
