Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:84085
Parent Cell Line:  Not Specified (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  C57BL/6
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsExon 2 and part of exon 3 were replaced with a neomycin resistance gene. This results in a deletion from the N terminus to the sixth transmembrane domain. Functional disruption of the gene was confirmed by loss of platelet aggregation in response to the thromboxane receptor agonist, I-BOP as well as by the absence of ligand binding activity in thymocytes.
