• Mutation details: An allele from which p31 expression is ablated and only p41 is produced, was generated using a hit and run strategy. Genomic sequence was replaced with cDNA sequence encoding exons 5, 6 and 6b, thus eliminating the possiblility for p31-specific splicing. The exclusive expression of p41 was shown in homozygous mutant mice by RNase protection. Immunoprecipitation showed that p41 was expressed at levels higher than those in wild-type mice. (J:82880)
