origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:80052
Parent Cell Line:  W4 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S6/SvEvTac
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation details840 bp of exon 2, encompassing the start codon and sequence encoding the first 2 zinc finger domains, were replaced with a lacZ-neo cassette. Normal transcript was undetected by Northern blot analysis of homozygous mutant mice. Comparison with in situ hybridization results indicated that the lacZ expression pattern was similar to that of the endogenous gene. (J:80052)
