Notes
  • Experiment
Qdm modifies Qa1 (now H2-Q1). Using a series of H2 congenic mice, Qdm was found to map to the left of Qa2 (now H2-Q7, H2-Q8, H2-Q9). and thus is also not allelic with H2-Q1. Further, Qdm was found to map to the right of Slp (now C4a), thus placing it in the H2-D region of Chromosome 17. Neu1 (18.93 cM) is a potential candidate gene mapping to the Qdm interval.

C57BL/6J animals carry the dominant Qdm+ allele while CBA/J, C3H, and AKR carry the recessive Qdmk allele.
