Notes
  • Experiment
Alcohol consumption and preference in mice were analyzed as a QTL in Recombinant Inbreds(RI) AXB and BXA and progenitor inbreds C57BL/6J and A/J. In males QTLs were found on mouse Chromosomes 2, 5, 7, 10, 11 and 16, and in females QTLs were found on Chromosomes 2, 4, 5, 7, 11, 16, and 19. A QTL for alcohol preference in male AXB/BXA mice was associated with marker Tyr and D7Mit105 with a LOD score of 1.91 and 2.22 and designated as Alcp11 and Alcp12 respectively. In addition A QTL for alcohol preference in female AXB/BXA mice was also associated with marker Tyr with and is designated as Alcp13. An additional female QTL was associated with D7Mit105 with a LOD score of 1.84 and is designated as Alcp14.
