Origin: Outbred Alderley Park (strain 1) inbred since 1964 as "Harwell Mouth Tumour".


Characteristics

About 50% incidence of squamous-cell carcinoma of the mouth late in life. Mean life-span 27-30 months with or without mouth tumours (Hulse 1979, Buckley et al 1980).
