developed by Bailey from a cross of BALB/c x C57BL/6J. CXBH and CXBK have
high and low levels of opiate receptors, respectively (Marek et al 1990, Elmer et al,
). Absence of corpus callosum similar to the BALB/c parent in
CXBG. This is associated with slow growth of the medial septum subadjacent
