| Caption | Radial sections in lower magnification (upper) and photoreceptors at higher magnification (lower). For both +/+ wild-type and Plcb4tm1Dwu/Plcb4tm1Dwu mice there was little variation across retinal eccentricities; average thickness for wild-type was 188 +/-8 and for the homozygous mutants 208 +/-3. In addition, retinal morphology in the homozygous mutant (right) appeared normal compared with that in the wild-type mouse.
