Caption Mice carrying the PhexHyp-Duk mutation (left) have shortened hindlimbs (as shown here) and are mildly growth retarded in overall body size with a squared trunk. The skull is significantly shorter in length with a shorter nose length and lower areal bone mineral density compared to controls.
