DKI

Inbr: F61. Albino. Genet: a, c. Strain developed from dd outbred stock of Central Laboratory of Experimental Animals. Inbreeding started by B. Kitasato in 1953.


Characteristics

Susceptible to Salmonella enteritidis. A congenic strain in which the gene for resistance found in C3H/He has been backcrossed to DKI has beendeveloped (Kishimoto, 1972).

Inbr (Jko) N11F36. Origin: Cross of DKI/Jko x C3H/He, followed by backcrossing to DKI with selection for a gene for relative resistance to Salmonella enteritidis. Maint. by Jko
