Inbred Strains of Mice: AKXD

AKXD-

Set of 25 recombinant inbred strains. Origin: B.A. Taylor from a cross between AKR/J and DBA/2J.

High incidence of lymphoma in most strains (Gilbert et al, 1993).

AKXL-

Set of 18 recombinant inbred strains. Inbr 15-40+. Origin: B.A.Taylor from a cross between AKR/J and C57L/J. Strain AKXL-7 has a recombinant alpha-globin gene (Lewis et al, 1993).
