Mutation details: A targeting vector was designed to insert loxP sites to flank exons 12 through 21 of the locus. Frt sites flanked a neo included in the vector in intron 11. The floxed locus encompasses the ATPase domain, required for the remodeling activity. Splicing of exon 11 to exon 22 would putatively generate an out of frame transcript, possibly resulting in a truncated protein.
