N normal phenotype
mortality/aging
• only about 1% newborn are homozygous when heterozygous are crossed
• most of homozygous newborns die within their first 2 weeks
• homozygous newborns rarely survive up to 1 month
• Background Sensitivity: survival of homozygous mice in a mixed 129/ICR background survive longer then C57BL/6 or BALB/c background, however author did not show any data

growth/size/body
• homozygous mutant neonates weighed slightly less than their littermates at birth
• after birth homozygous mouse shows a severe retardation in weight gain
• less than 50% of the weight of there wild type or heterozygous siblings at postnatal day 20

cellular
• early passage of the MEF derived from E13.5 homozygous embryo exhibit increased binuclear phenotype
• higher frequency of aneuploidy in homozygous embryo derived MEF
• 4N tetraploidy cell population are elevated in homozygous embryo derived MEF
• homozygous embryo derived MEF show disturbed frequency of primary cilia from multiple basal bodies
• do not exhibit metaphase arrest
• centrosome duplication is not affected
• chromosomal counts of colcemid-arrested metaphase spreads of MEF derived from homozygous embryo shows increased chromosome content
