• mutant mice were born with predicted Mendelian frequencies, developed without growth retardation, were fertile, and had as long a life span as control within observation period of 18 months
• no macroscopic or microscopic differences in organs examined
• no morphological abnormality in the bone marrow cells
• no abnormality in blood cell counts
