• the ratio of S-adenosylmethionine to S-adenosylhomocysteine is decreased in the plasma
• 8 weeks after treatment with azoxymethane more aberrant crypts per focus are found in heterozygotes compared to wild-type mice
• 38 weeks after treatment with azoxymethane, inflammatory lesion size is increased however the number of lesions is the same as in wild-type mice
