Serpina6tm1.1Mmp mutation (0 available); any Serpina6 mutation (33 available)
phenotype observed in females
phenotype observed in males
N normal phenotype
behavior/neurological
N
• mice exhibit normal behavior in an elevated plus maze and open field
• cocaine-treated mice fail to exhibit a locomotor response sensitization unlike similarly treated wild-type mice
• during sessions of inescapable footshock, mice exhibit increased learned helplessness escape failures and increased learned helplessness avoidance compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• in a forced-swim test, mice exhibit increased level of immobility compared with similarly treated wild-type mice

homeostasis/metabolism
• morning, but not evening, concentrations of free corticosterone is greater than in wild-type mice
• stressed mice exhibit decreased free plasma corticosterone compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• however, total corticosterone levels are normal
