neoplasm
• by 24 weeks, mice show metastatic deposits in pelvic lymph nodes, renal lymph nodes, lungs, salivary glands and liver while TRAMP littermates primarily show deposits in the pelvic lymph nodes
• fewer multi-lobe tumors develop at 18 and 24 weeks (14 and 57% respectively) than in hemizygous TRAMP littermates (45 and 86%, respectively)

N
• prostate remains tumor-free for 1 year
• observed abnormalities are consistent with prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN)

endocrine/exocrine glands
• transgenic mice have increased numbers of abnormal acini, specifically in the lateral lobe of the prostate, compared to controls
• prostate sections routinely demonstrate disorganized epithelial cells, epithelial stratifications, areas of epithelial tufting with teardrop shaped cells having elongated nuclei, nuclear atypia and heterochromatic nuclei
• observed abnormalities are consistent with prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN)
