• proportion of lamda + B cells was decreased to 1.5% and 1.3% on average in bone marrow and spleen, respectively, compared to 5-6% in wildtype or heterozygotes
• defective receptor editing in B cells showing the presence of unedited DNA-reactive B cells in the periphery
• number of immature B cells (IgMhigh IgDlow) is slightly lower
• anti-CD40- and IL4-stimulated splenic B cells exhibit reduced differentiation into IgG producing plasma cells compared to in wild-type mice
• at the T1 to T2 stage
• numbers of mature B cells (IgMlow IgDhigh) are severely reduced in the spleens
