• 32% of leukocytes adhere to endothelium compared to 95% in wildtype, with adherence decreasing to 5% in the presence of Icam1 antibodies
• treatment with Icam1 antibodies increases leukocyte rolling velocity after TNF-alpha stimulation in venules
• reduced staphylococcal enterotoxin A (SEA)-induced T cell proliferation in splenocytes
• total leukocyte numbers, polymophonuclear cell numbers and mononuclear cell numbers are increased
• 4-fold increase in the number of circulating neutrophils
• NK cell cytotoxicity was reduced
