Mutation description

• Mutation details: EUCOMM targeting vector HTGRS01000_A_A12 from IKMC Project 38364 was used to create this knock-out first conditional-ready reporter allele. The vector places an FRT site, splice acceptor site, IRES, lacZ cassette, loxP site, neomycin resistance gene cassette under the control of the human beta-actin promoter, second FRT site and second loxP site upstream of exon 2 and a third loxP site downstream of exon 2. This vector was injected into ES cells carrying the Foxp1 allele and generates mice containing both Shq1 and Foxp1 floxed alleles on the same chromosome. The lacZ and neomycin resistance gene were removed via flp-mediated recombination. Subsequent cre expression can result in deletion of the region between exon 11 of Foxp1 and exon 2 of Shq1, or individual deletion of Foxp1 exons 10-11 or Shq1 exon 2. (J:250117)
