• Mutation details: A loxP site was inserted upstream of the gene and an FRT site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette and a second loxP site were inserted downstream. The neo cassette was removed through subsequent flp-mediated recombination, leaving a conditional-ready allele with the gene floxed. Knockout of the gene through cre-mediated recombination does not affect the Mib1 host gene in which intron it is located. (J:242463)
