• Mutation details: The diphtheria toxin A gene and a floxed neo cassette replaced the HS5-1 (a neuron-specific transcriptional enhancer). A floxed selection cassette was removed by cre-mediated recombination. RT-PCR analysis on P9 neuronal tissues confirmed moderate reduction in transcript expression of genes in the 5' end of the cluster and substantial reduction in transcript expression of genes in the 3' end of the cluster with the exception of Pcdhac2. RT-PCR confirmed the increased transcript expression of the cluster in glia and kidneys. (J:118324, J:177466)
