Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Not Specified)
Mutations:    Insertion, Nucleotide substitutions

Mutation detailsA targeting construct was designed to insert a frt-flanked neomycin (neo) resistance cassette downstream of exon 8 of the glycine receptor, alpha 1 subunit (Glra1) gene. Nucleotide substitutions (ATG to CTA) introduced in exon 8 resulted in the amino acid mutation M287L. Flp-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. (J:177106)
