Targeted Allele Detail
Symbol: Pip5k1ctm1.2Ref
Name: phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate 5-kinase, type 1 gamma; targeted mutation 1.2, Reinhard Fassler
MGI ID: MGI:4838023
Synonyms: PIPKIgamma90-, PIPKIgammadeltaE17
Gene: Pip5k1c  Location: Chr10:81292963-81319973 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr10, 39.72 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:164732
Parent Cell Line:  Not Specified (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129
Allele Type:    Targeted (Hypomorph)
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsA loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 17. An FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 3' loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 17. Flp-mediated recombination removed the neomycin resistance cassette. Cre-mediated recombination removed exon 17. The absence of the long protein isoform expression was confirmed by western blot analysis on T cell extracts. (J:180016)
