Allele Type: Targeted (Hypomorph) Mutations: Insertion, Intragenic deletion Mutation details: LoxP sites flanking part of the promoter, all of exon 1, and a portion of intron 1 were introduced by homologous recombination. Cre mediated recombination removed exon 1 and the selection cassette. Mice exhibit a 50% reduction in transcript in brains. (J:164876)
