Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:130477
Parent Cell Line:  Bruce 4 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  B6.Cg-Thy1a
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA floxed neomycin resistance cassette was inserted in intron 5 and a third loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 6. Mice were crossed with a CAG-cre transgenic mouse to excise both the floxed neomycin cassette and exon 6. Immunoblots of extracts from liver derived mast cells failed to detect protein product.
