Mutation details: Most of exon 6, which encodes the transmembrane domain, was replaced with an IRES-GAP43-Venus and a self-excising neo cassette. Cre mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. The absence of protein expression was confirmed by immunohistochemitry of vomeronasal organ sections.
