Transgene Detail
Symbol: Tg(RP23-326M22)760She
Name: transgene insertion 760, Sarah Elsea
MGI ID: MGI:4461458
Synonyms: Rai1 BAC transgene, Rai1 transgene, TgRai1, Tg(RP23-326M22)1She
Transgene: Tg(RP23-326M22)760She  Location: unknown
Strain of Origin:  (C57BL/6J x SJL)F2 or C57BL/6J x (C57BL/6J x SJL)F1
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion
Tg(RP23-326M22)760She expresses 2 genes
Mutation detailsThis transgene consists of the C57BL/6J mouse bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) RP23-326M22 (GenBank id AC096624), which contains the entire coding sequence of the retinoic acid induced 1 (Rai1) gene. The BAC also includes the sterol regulator element binding transcription factor 1 gene (Srebf1; formerly Srebp1) and the 3' end of Tom1l2. Founder line 760 has integrated ~4 copies of the transgene at a single site. Overexpression of Rai1 in the brain and liver was verified by quantitative RT-PCR and western blot analysis. (J:161765)

A second transgenic line generated using the same BAC was called Tg(RP23-326M22)775She (or Tg(RP23-326M22)2She). "All reported data were generated from the 760 line; however, the 775 line of mice showed similar results." (J:161765)
