Gene trapped Allele Detail
Symbol: Dpcd/PollGt(OST280355)Lex
Name: deleted in primary ciliary dyskinesia; gene trap OST280355, Lexicon Genetics
MGI ID: MGI:4262238
Gene: Dpcd  Location: Chr19:45560590-45578287 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr19, 38.75 cM
Mutant Cell Line:  OST280355 (Lexicon Genetics)
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:171184
Parent Cell Line:  Lex-1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S5/SvEvBrd
Project Collection: Lexicon
Allele Type:    Gene trapped
Mutation:    Insertion of gene trap vector
Mutation detailsGene trap insertion was in intron 1 of Poll and also the promoter region of Dpcd near the transcriptional start site. These two genes overlap, and the gene trap inserted into this overlapping region. By RT-PCR analysis, no endogenous Poll transcript was detected in homozygous tissues. Similary, no endogenous Dpcd transcript was detected in homozygous tissues. (J:171184)
