Mutation detailsThe coding sequence found within the intron of another gene was replaced with an frt- and loxP-flanked neo cassette. The selection cassette was subsequently removed by germ line, cre mediated recombination. Normal expression of the surrounding gene was confirmed by western blot analysis on heart extracts. The absence of the targeted sequence transcript was confirmed by northern blot analysis on lung and heart extracts. (J:139708)
