Transgenic Allele Detail
Symbol: Epm2aTg(TcraK,TcrbK)TG-BFlv
Name: epilepsy, progressive myoclonic epilepsy, type 2 gene alpha; transgene insertion TG-B, Richard A Flavell
MGI ID: MGI:3764832
Synonyms: H2-Kk, TG-B
Gene: Epm2a  Location: Chr10:11343445-11457477 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr10, 3.66 cM, cytoband A
Strain of Origin:  (C57BL/6J x CBA/J)F2
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Hypomorph, Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion
Mutation detailsThe transgenic mice express rearranged Valpha and Vbeta genes from a CTL clone that recognized the SV40 large T antigen (SV-T). The V and J regions of a transgene construct (made in J:107523) were replaced with the V and J regions of the clone K T cell receptor. The synthetic alpha and beta constructs were coinjected into 1 day embryos. Three lines were obtained and line TG-B was further characterized. The transgene in line TG-B inserted into intron 1. Western blot analysis confirmed reduced protein expression. (J:107545, J:112696)
